Why a webpage?

I am sure this does not come as a surprise to anyone, but this website has been created just in case whatever is going on with the visa/mastercard mess going on during Summer/Fall 2025. I am hoping this page does not need to become the place to host the game, it would likely be much more work. This page lacks all the nice features Itch.io offers but it is possible to host it here. Or even embed the game here while hosting it on itch.io. However, since that would mess with my stats, I am not doing that unless neccecary.

It does seem like things are going in a batter direction already, as far as I know, but I already worked on this page so I am leaving it up.

While I have not had any trouble so far on Itch.io, the game seems to be listed and can be searched for.But the Tales Of Wocdes does deal with adult themes, and as all demo readers know, I took steps to censor some of the worst of it in the early game back when the original demo was published.

Still, I wish to be careful, which is why this webpage is a pre-emptive step in case things get worse. If they don't this website might not see much use. Perhaps I will figure out something nice to do with it eventually.

I already have a blog, a demo page and a KoFi page too. Having this webpage too seems a bit redundant, unless something changes. But perhaps it serves some functionality. There is a FAQ page at least :D And this webpage shamelesly has a kofi button on the bottom left corner, at least on the computer.

I am sorry the mobile version is a bit clunkly. I need to work on it.

Tales of Wocdes: The Silver Protector is a high fantasy interactive fiction made in Twine. During the story, your protagonist will change from a helpless child to a Silver Protector, an elite warrior and protector. In time, you may wield powerful magic, or be a master of the blade.

The game is in early development. All content is subject to change.
